GREEN FROG LANE - 'THE CHOCOLATE BOX' 

 

Built in the hinterland overlooking Byron Bay 'The Chocolate Box' as it is affectionately known is the result of collaboration between Ziegler Build and Design Laboratory.

 

The main stylistic element which gives the house its characteristic finish is the 'charred' external cedar cladding which gives a timeless and oriental feel.

 

Simplicity of build and material are the main aesthetic elements.

 

Exposed rafters, open plan living and generous external decks coupled with simple forms, embue this dwelling with a timelessness. Exquisite and clever detailing lifts the quality of this house to well beyond the ordinary.
