TWICKENHAM STREET - 'THE BARN' 

 

Located in the prestigious Brisbane suburb of Chelmer, this residence is the result of collaboration between Ziegler Build and Design Laboratory.

 

The house is speculative and is comprised of both recycled materials. Stylistically, it is a Cape Cod form with strong references to 'Barns.'

 

The builder client wanted to explore a different archetype to existing housing stock found on Twickenham Street. Simple forms, striking features and bold colours are accompanied by a restrained materials palette.
